Professional accreditation
We offer social work degrees of the highest academic standards, both in entry-to-practice and post-qualifying levels. All of our curricula are subject to rigorous review by the University before being approved by University Council.
The Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) accredits courses that prepare graduates with those competencies essential for entry to practice. For information about AASW approved courses, please see the AASW website.
Currently our accredited course is the Master of Social Work (MC-SOCW). Graduates of this course are eligible to apply for membership of the Association once they have completed all of the degree requirements.
We also offer subjects through the Master of Social Work that can contribute towards recognition as a Accredited Mental Health Social Worker.
